Research Interests

Goal of my current research interests is to summarize existing usability and user experience evaluation methods and classify them according to their shortcomings especially focusing on the usage context of the method (e.g. usability evaluation methods for standard applications have limitations when they are applied in mobile testing situations). Based on the classification new methods shall be developed and existing methods are enhanced to overcome these limitations. To validate these new and enhanced methods the goal of my work is to compare methods in terms of applicability for non-traditional environments. The framework I am currently developing for my habilitation will describe comparative parameters, use-cases of the methodologies and limitations of the methodologies to help researchers find an appropriate mix of methods for the development of their interactive systems or robots.
