Regina Bernhaupt studied psychology and applied informatics at the University of Salzburg and received her PhD in applied informatics in summer 2002 on artificial time coded neural networks : mathematical modelling, implementation and application. To follow her initial intention on trying to combine approaches from social sciences and computer science to fit information systems to human needs and desires she changed position (within the University of Salzburg) and started working in the field of Human-Computer Interaction in 2004. Since then she is an active member of the community, having organized 2 conferences and several workshops, she is editing a book on evaluating user experience in games and is author of several international publications.Having worked in various EU-funded and national projects and with the interdisciplinary team at the ICT&S Center she is well prepared in terms of interdisciplinary work, within institutions as well as projects.
